This option will remove the SQL Server instance that was created previously using this wizard as well as all databases that have been created on it. If multiple databases have been installed you can remove individual databases by following the instructions of
Removing an eLab Database.
To remove an instance of SQL Server , follow these steps:
- On the End User License Agreement page, read the license agreement and if you agree click
Accept.
- On the Overview screen click Next.
- On the Options page, click Show advanced options and then click
Remove an SQL Server Express instance.
- Select the SQL Server instance that you want to remove from the SQL Server name control.
- Select one of the following validation options, and then click
Next.
- Server Key. Use this option if you have lost your administration password or it is not being accepted. You will need to request a key from eBioSys before you can continue (see
Requesting a Database Key).
- Database Passwords or keys. Use this option to enter the administrator password or database key for each of the databases installed a SQL Server instance. Follow the instructions of the
Request a Server Key or Request a database key
section .
- Click Accept.
- Click Close to close the wizard.
Note:
- On a given server you can install multiple SQL Server database engines; each engine is referred to as an instance.
- If you have lost your administration password or the server is not accepting your password follow the instructions of the Request a Server Key section to obtain a server key.
