Component dialogue boxes consist of three parts:
- The attributes list
This lists all the attributes that are appropriate for describing the component type. To enter the details of a particular attribute select it and enter its details in the attribute details section. See
Adding Actions for details on adding actions to the list of attributes.
Note: A green attribute indicates that an attribute has associated details and a red attribute indicates that there is an error in the details of the attribute.
- The attribute details section
This section allows you to set the details of a selected attribute. You can set the value, units, error in value and attach a comment to the attribute.
- The component comment
This allows you to attach a comment to the component.

To set the attributes of a component, follow these steps:
- Double-click the relevant component from the protocol designer, the component dialogue box appears.
- Select each attribute one-by-one and set the associated attributes.
- Enter any comments you want to associate with the component
- Click the Ok button.
